Increased collaboration in focus at the Aerosols yearly meeting
What are the health gains of removing vehicle exhaust from busy city streets, and how can low-cost sensors help to measure the air pollution? These were some of the topics presented at the yearly meeting for the LTH Profile Area Aerosols.

There were about 70 people from three faculties participating in the meeting, which was held in February 2024 in Lund. The focus was on showing the great diversity of aerosols research at Lund University and how this can benefit the research community. The invited keynote speaker was Matthew Johnson, Professor of chemistry at the University of Copenhagen. He gave an inspirational talk where he shared his expertise on low-cost sensors to monitor air pollution and showed the value of having networks of air pollution monitoring nodes in big cities.
A much appreciated part of the meeting was the two minutes scientific pitches, where PhD students and postdocs presented their projects in a concise and approachable way. Attendants who wanted to know more were welcome to visit the poster exhibition which followed the oral presentation.
