The intention with this project is to provide an alternative to bottled water in the city environment and thereby reduce the 80 million half liter bottles that ends up in the garbage in Sweden each year.

The design is based on a thorough research on how to make the fountain safe and convenient for the users. The organic shape in cast aluminum is easy to maintain and keep clean. The spout is angled and covered making it impossible to touch with your mouth. The water jet is activated by a pedal allowing your hands to be free when using it. There will be no contact with bacteria from previous users. For users in wheelchairs there is a button in the back of the fountain.

The bent front surface catches the water without splashing and guides it to the floor drainage inspired by how leaves guide rainwater to the plants root system.
