Industrial Specialization in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISIE)

Welcome to the ISIE Exchange Program at LTH!

The ISIE program offers a unique opportunity for students from the Industrial Engineering and Management program to engage in a tailor-made exchange experience focused on industrial processes, innovation, and product development. This exciting program is a collaboration with four prestigious partner universities across continents:

  • University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil
  • Polytechnique Montréal (PolyMtl), Canada
  • University of Lisboa (IST), Portugal
  • Lund University - Faculty of Engineering LTH (LTH), Sweden

Eligibility and Application:

LTH has some of Sweden's most attractive programmes, all of which build on a broad research base. To participate in the ISIE program, you must:

  1. Be a student from one of the partner universities in the program.
  2. Be nominated for exchange studies by your home university.
  3. Select courses from one of the specializations offered.

How to apply

To apply for the ISIE program at LTH, follow these steps:

  1. Nomination: Ensure you are nominated by your home university for this program.
  2. Application Instructions: Follow the exchange studies application instructions provided on the How to Apply page.
  3. Study Plan: Create and submit a full-time study plan totaling 30 credits.

As part of the ISIE program, you should select courses from the Industrial Engineering and Management program .

Course admission requirements

  • You can apply for courses, provided you meet the course prerequisites and the course is open for exchange students. 
  • Refer to the course syllabus for specific admission requirements and assumed prior knowledge.
  • Submit the relevant documents by following the instructions on the How to Apply page.

Course selection

Feel free to explore the available options and create a study plan that aligns with your interests and goals. Keep the following points in mind:

  • Credit Balance: Aim for 15 credits per study period to maintain a balanced workload.
  • Specializations and Electives: Check the courses from different specializations or electives within the Industrial Engineering and Management program. Ensure the courses are open to exchange students by referring to the "Decoding LTH Course Catalogue" section below.
