WISE grants to four projects at the Department of Physics
Four PhD and postdoctoral projects at the Department of Physics are awarded funding in the second academic call from WISE. In total, 54 projects across the country will share SEK 166 million.
Successful commercialisation of dementia simulator
What does it feel like to live with dementia? The answer is offered by the “dementia simulator” developed by virtual reality researchers at the Faculty of Engineering, LTH. The simulator takes the user into a virtual world to experience different aspects of life with a cognitive disorder.
Great Gold Medal to Anne L'Huillier
Anne L'Huillier, Professor of Physics at Lund University, is awarded the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences’ (IVA) Great Gold Medal for significant contributions to the Academy's field of activity. The award is presented by IVA’s Chair, Marcus Wallenberg.

ERC Proof of Concept to Per Augustsson
Per Augustsson, associate professor of biomedical engineering at LTH, has been awarded a prestigious Proof of Concept grant from the European Research Council (ERC). This is his third ERC grant.
"A crisp proposal" is requested during Almedalen talk on semiconductors
A discussion on semiconductors was on the agenda in Almedalen. The dialogue, hosted by LTH at Lund University, addressed how Sweden can contribute to the efforts being made in Europe. One of the conclusions of the discussion was "the crisper the proposal – the more policy influence".
Next stop: Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting
For the 73rd time, the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting will be arranged. It takes place 30 June–5 July 2024 in Bayern, Germany, by the beautiful Bodensee. One of the participants this year is NanoLund PhD student Ruby Davtyan.
