Pioneering Women in STEM Scholarship Announced for LTH Master's Programs

In October 2024, the Swedish Institute (SI) launched a new fully funded scholarship for women from 10 countries in Africa and Asia. Five of the international master's programmes at LTH have been designated for the SI scholarship "Pioneering Women in STEM", which aims to empower women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The following master's programmes att LTH, starting in the autumn semester 2025, are eligible for the scholarship:

  1. Embedded Electronics Engineering
  2. Food Technology and Nutrition
  3. Pharmaceutical Technology: Discovery, Development and Production
  4. Sustainable Energy Engineering
  5. Water Resources Engineering

Through this initiative, the Swedish Institute (SI) aims to create a more diverse and equal STEM field as well as develop a network of future global leaders who will contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and drive the development of their home countries forward.

The scholarship is open to female citizens from the following eligible countries:

  • Bangladesh
  • Indonesia
  • Kenya
  • Malaysia
  • Nigeria
  • Philippines
  • Rwanda
  • South Africa
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam.

Important: Candidates must submit their application for a Master's programme at universityadmissions.se before applying for the scholarship.
